Our community is proud to be part of Joshua Independent School District, a place where students are supported from their very first day of Pre-K through graduation. In 2024, JISD celebrated an on-time graduation rate of 99%, with 82% of students scoring at or above the “approaches” level on all STAAR tests, outperforming state averages in multiple subjects. Nearly every grade rose above state averages at the “meets” and “masters” levels, and in 2025 the district earned distinctions in areas including Academic Achievement in Mathematics and Postsecondary Readiness. Accredited by the Texas Education Agency, JISD is known for its intentionally smaller schools, where students are seen, supported, and encouraged to thrive every step of the way.

to all neighborhoods through bikepaths 
and greenways.

Established in 1902, the Joshua Independent School District (JISD) has grown into the 3rd-largest district in Johnson County.

Accredited by the Texas Education Agency (TEA), the district continues to demonstrate academic progress, with its TEA score improving from 82 in 2024 to 86 in 2025.
